On the spot repairs are assessed and priced dependant on the work
required with no minimum fee.
Mouthpiece removal
I remove stuck mouthpieces free of charge to try to discourage players
attempting to free them themselves. Most of the structural work
required to a brass mouthpiece shank is a direct result of attempts
to remove a stuck mouthpiece without the correct tools.
Servicing
Brass servicing includes the dismantling of the instrument, cleaning
the body and all moving parts. Replacing any necessary felt or corks
and re-assembling the instrument. Oil, grease & test.
Overhaul
Brass overhauls are an extension of the service. The overhaul can
include hand-lapping sticky valves and freeing stuck slides. As
well as this, all cork, felt and springs are replaced with new.
Restoration
Dent removal and structural repairs are assessed and priced dependant
on work required.
